Bronze Medallion Award Course

Service Description

Pre-requisite: 1. Attainment of Lifesaving 123 Award 2. Working knowledge of water safety, survival in water, rescue principles and emergency aftercare. 3. Perform Land-based Rescue, Water-based Rescue. 4. Demonstrate Rescue Fitness under a time of 3 minutes 15 seconds. 5. Perform Contact Tow Rescue of an uncooperative casualty and provide aftercare. 6. Rescue of a submerged casualty within 1 minute 15 seconds and perform CPR. 7. Swim 400 meters continuously in at least three recognized strokes. Pre-requisites: - Attained Lifesaving 3 Award - Able to complete 50 meters swim (any recognised stroke) in 1 minute. - 15 years old and above (as of year of test date) ​ *Note: Participants are expected to meet the pre-requisites before registering for this course. ​ A skills-test will be conducted on the first session to ensure pre-requisites are met. Participants who fail the skills-test will automatically be enrolled into the next Lifesaving 123 Course (Course 2). ​ Participants can consider joining TSR Lifesaving Preparatory Course where coaches will be providing training to help meet the Course Pre-requisites.
